30.000 € from Karlheinz-Böhm-School

250.000 € is going to cost the next project of the partnership association in Ethiopia: about 200.000 € for the construction of the 3rd kindergarten – the rest for the training of educators and the inclusion of children with disabilities. 100.000 € have already been collected by the association in the last years, 150.000 € are still needed ….

…. no, not anymore! With a charity run, sensational running performances and a huge willingness to donate, the Karlheinz Böhm School in munich has brought us much closer to the ambitious fundraising goal: Around 500 students collected about €30,000 with the help of their sponsors. KHB´s principal Catherine Aicher handed over the check to our vice chairman Joachim Wiesmüller on November 19. A big thank you is dedicated to her for the initiative – as well as to teacher Simone Endres for the great organization. Without the incredibly motivated students and their sponsors, however, the sensational result would not have been possible at all. Therefore this is for them: Betam amasegnalhu – thank you very much! The huge amount brings us a lot closer to the starting the construction already next year. At the moment we are at 31 percent of the total amount needed – the current donation status can be found here:

The running record of the 24 classes was 29 laps (12.5 kilometers) in one hour – achieved by three students of the fourth grade (photo: the running champions of the school with organizer Simone Aicher and board representative Alexander Bestle). Since the announcement of the result, only one thing comes to mind every day: SENSATIONAL!
